“How can one listen to the body, whether that body is human or the structure of a building?”
To explore this question, "Grasping a Gasp: A Sonic Memory" is an installation and performance in which the artist seeks to connect with sonic memories associated with her home. This connection is achieved through delicate attempts to nurture these memories using clay objects that function as failed instruments. During the performance, the artist simultaneously repeats the same routine while finding subtle ways to escape it.
